I have learned much from the bees.   I am still learning.   I have a burning  desire to share this information with you.   This book is a real and concrete way for me to recycle that which I have gained.   The bees flew into my life when I really needed them the most.   I was just coming out of an abusive marriage.   I was feeling alone and discouraged.   Life had very little meaning.   Pat Wagner's story in the Washington Post brought me back to life.   Giving to others was the answer to my prayers.    Writing this book is a continuation of my healing process.   The more I give, the more I heal my pain.   I am involving others in my healing process by giving to them.   We all have something to give.   As St. Francis said: "It is in giving, that we  receive."

Years ago I had a vision.   I was a Medicine Woman.   I saved my own tears in my "tear-glass bottle" and used those tears to help others in need.   My name became Amber.   Amber was to me the tears of the pine tree.   Under a million years of pressure, they hardened and turned into a precious jewel.   I live my life, turning my suffering into gold, by helping others in need.
